Land Clearing

Clearing brush, trees, and stumps from a defined area for a new structure, driveway, or yard project — with the trees you want to keep marked and protected before anything starts.

What Land Clearing Covers

Land clearing comes up most on the larger, more wooded lots we see further from the denser downtown areas — clearing a building envelope, a driveway path, or overgrown brush before a yard project. It's a different job from removing one problem tree: the whole defined area is cleared, graded, and left ready for whatever comes next.

Before anything is cut, we walk the property with you to mark the boundary of what's being cleared and confirm which trees, if any, are staying.

What's Included

  • A site walk-through to define the clearing area and mark trees to keep
  • Removal of trees, brush, and stumps within that area
  • Grading and debris removal when clearing is complete
  • Coordination on keeping wood chips or firewood on site if you'd like them

Tree Issues This Plan Covers

How It Works

01

Site Walk-Through & Estimate

We walk the property together to define exactly what's being cleared and what's staying, and give you a real estimate based on the actual scope.

02

Clearing & Grading

Trees, brush, and stumps come out of the defined area, with the site graded as needed for what you're planning next.

03

Debris Removal

Cleared material is hauled away, or wood chips and firewood-length rounds are left on site if you've asked to keep them.

Our Guarantee

Any tree you've asked us to protect gets marked and worked around deliberately, not treated as an afterthought. If your project needs a permit — some towns and villages require one for larger clearing projects — we'll flag that before work begins so it's not a surprise later.

Free estimate, no pressure — a real person calls back, usually same day.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a permit for land clearing?

It depends on your specific town or village and the size of the project — rules vary block by block on Long Island, so we check before starting rather than assuming either way.

Can you clear just brush and leave the trees?

Yes — the walk-through beforehand is exactly for defining what comes out and what stays, whether that's brush only, specific trees, or the whole area.

How long does a typical clearing project take?

It depends heavily on the size of the area and what's on it — we'll give you a real timeline as part of the estimate, not a generic answer.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — Licensed, Bonded & Insured.
